Advancing What Comes Next in Knee Replacement

Explore the implant systems and surgical technologies we’re developing to give surgeons greater flexibility, precision, and efficiency.

Revision Knee Technology

Optimotion Blue-R Revision Knee System

Pending 510(k). Not available for sale within the United States.

The Optimotion Blue-R Revision Knee System introduces sliding stem offset adjustability for both tibial and femoral revision stems. Its self-trialing design allows surgeons to adjust and lock stem position directly in the bone, providing continuous adjustability rather than relying on traditional stepwise adapters. This added flexibility is designed to help surgeons more precisely address patient anatomy and complex bone loss during revision procedures.

Bicruciate Retaining Technology

ACL Restoring Knee System

Pending 510(k). Not available for sale within the United States.

The ACL Restoring Knee System is designed to enable restoration of ACL function during total knee arthroplasty using the surgeon’s preferred allograft technique. Its U-shaped porous titanium tibial tray accommodates ACL restoration while supporting cemented or cementless fixation. By preserving bicruciate function, the system is designed to support knee stability, more natural kinematics, and a more active lifestyle following surgery.

Patient-Specific Instrumentation

Patient-Specific Pin Guides

Pending 510(k). Not available for sale within the United States.

Optimotion Patient-Specific Pin Guides use pre-operative imaging to create custom surgical guides based on each patient’s unique anatomy. By establishing pin placement and cut alignment before surgery, the system can reduce reliance on traditional alignment instrumentation and simplify the surgical workflow. The result is fewer procedural steps, reduced instrument requirements, and a more efficient approach to total knee replacement.

Designed by Surgeons, For Surgeons

We develop new technologies with input from the surgeons who understand the demands of the OR firsthand. Sharing our pipeline before clearance gives the surgical community an early look at what we’re building and creates an opportunity for surgeon feedback to inform the technologies still taking shape.

Hear From Surgeons Using the Lateral Approach

These physicians share what they’ve learned using the lateral approach, what has stood out in their patients’ recoveries, and why the technique has become part of their practice.

Dr. Pasquale Reino

Over 95% of my patients who had a traditional surgery and then came to me for the lateral approach say the recovery was much faster in terms of motion, easier in terms of pain, and required less narcotic medication.

Dr. David Cheong

The quadriceps muscle is not cut. If a muscle isn’t cut, then it doesn’t take the same amount of time to recover and wake up. If a muscle isn’t cut, then typically there is less pain associated with that surgery.

Dr. Sergio Martinez

I’ve had patients where we did the standard approach on one knee, and we did the second knee with the lateral approach. They all tell me that the lateral approach was a much better recovery.
